Born and raised in Birmingham Alabama, Darius is a proud graduate of Alabama A&M University, and a 2005-2007 Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
As the Head of Social Equity and Community Change at Eaze Technologies, California’s largest cannabis retailer providing direct-to-consumer deliveries, Darius created a first-of-its-kind Social Equity (SE) program that has sold over $14 million in BIPOC and women-owned cannabis products. Through this program they were able to provide a $1 million line of invoice financing credit, premium online menu placement, and guaranteed payment terms for SE supply-chain partners.
Additionally, he has served as the Co-Chair of the California Cannabis Industry Association’s (CCIA) Diversity and Equity Committee, Vice-President of Cannabis for Black Lives, and Co-Chair of the United States Cannabis Council’s Social Equity and Inclusion committee. Providing valuable insight into the industry for policy-makers and elected officials throughout California, New York, Nevada, Michigan, New Jersey, and Colorado.
A strong community advocate, with over 20 years of experience managing public policy for organization such as, University of California Student Association,Working America, and Eaze Technologies.
When Darius isn’t traveling, he enjoys all things science fiction particularly Afro-futurism, cooking, and spending time with his dog Biscuit.
